Omega
Speedmaster Reduced 1988- 2009.
The Omega Speedmaster Reduced debuted in 1988 and was offered as a smaller more affordable option to the 42mm hand wound Speedmaster models. The 39mm Reduced has an ETA 2892 based automatic winding movement with a Dubois Depraz chronograph module. Four different calibers of this movement were used throughout the 21 year production; Caliber 1140, 1141, 1143 and lastly Caliber 3220 (2000-2009).
In 2006 Omega gave the full steel Reduced a facelift in the form of a newly designed dial, sapphire crystal and bracelet with safety clasp. A short 3 years later the Speedmaster Reduced was discontinued completely. The full steel models with black dial reference 3510.50.00 and reference 3539.50.00 are still the most popular of all the Reduced models.
