IWC
A discontinued iconic IWC diver's watch in mint condition. The "original" 2000m diver's watch debuted in the late 1990s and was offered in steel and titanium. Steel versions had a significantly lower production number. The GST line is considered to be the last of the truly famous engineered IWC watches before acquisition by Richemont (Swiss based luxury goods company) in 2000.
Although this model was designed to be compatible for technical and saturation diving, there is no helium escape valve on the outside of the case. It was engineered to cope with internal over-pressure thus no need for a helium escape valve.
White and black dials were available on the steel models. Mark 1 used a combination of tritium and luminova and was marked T Swiss made T at the bottom of the dial. The 12 o'clock marker has a yellow tone as it is tritium whereas the rest of the hour markers are luminova and still hold a lume. Mark II with all luminova came out some time in the early 2000s and was marked Swiss Made at the bottom of the dial.
